We made it to the one year mark!

One year ago today, I married the most amazing husband ever! He cooks people, like really good every night. I shouldn’t really have to tell you more than that. Technically, I am supposed to do the dishes since he cooks, but he rinses and puts the dishwasher dishes in the dishwasher! I know; you can pick your jaws up off the floor. He motivates me to get my butt off the couch and exercise. He introduces me to new foods. When we met I liked chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese. Now I eat broccoli and squash! He is my best friend, my personal comedian, my everything.



This first year of marriage has been a crazy one. It started with needing to drive off to our honeymoon destination and having lost the keys. Somehow they got thrown away and he and my dad found them the day after the wedding while going through the trash! The next day while driving down the coast we experienced the storm of the century and our short lives flashed before our eyes as boulders rolled in front of our car. The rest of the honeymoon was magical.




Once we came home with all the amazing presents we realized we needed a bigger apartment. So we moved!



We spent our first Thanksgiving away from our families, never doing that again! Had our first Christmas together. Spent Valentine’s Day with my mom who was visiting. Celebrated each other’s birthdays. We went to his brother’s graduation in San Francisco . Went to our dear friend’s wedding and the little place card had Mr. and Mrs. H on it. We celebrated his dad’s 50th!

Hubby has an elaborate surprise getaway planned for us this weekend. I love asking him if he is excited and seeing his eye light up. I know it will be amazing if he is that excited! I will really try to take pics and post all about it.
