So, just kidding about the earlier outfit choices!

Thank you all SO much for helping me out with this Christmas card photo shoot stuff! I know I'm being crazy! So, after I did the post with the white t-shirt and gray sweater I found out white is not so good for photographing. My tweeps decided they liked this beige sweater I have. My stylist AP, decided she need to see pics of the under shirt options before she could decide. So now white or gray?

What I'm Loving!

-I'm loving that my husband gives Chase a kiss every morning before he goes to work.

-I'm loving that our dvr is full because baby giggles and snuggles are way better than any tv show.

-I'm loving that I am no longer sleeping with Chase in the guest room!

-I'm loving that when he wakes up he blows raspberries. Silly boy!

-I'm loving how proud Hubby is of Chase. He says stuff like, "He's so strong!" "He's practically crawling!"

-I'm loving when Hubby compliments Chase. He says things like, "Chase, I like your hair." "Chase, I like your pants."

Christmas card photo shoot: sweater or no sweater

Ok I need your help with another decision regarding the christmas card photo shoot. Sweater or no sweater? If you need a reminder of what the boys are wearing you can look here.

I apologize for the pony and no make up. All we are doing today is going to the dollar tree so... Oh, and I am going to wear spanx for the photo shoot. Next up shoes!

Christmas card photo shoot outfits

I went to Macy's today and found a necklace for me and a shirt for Chase to wear for our Christmas card photo shoot.

Let's talk bottoms. Should we all wear jeans? I would have to buy a pair for Chase. I don't think Hub's gray shirt would look good with khakis, do you?

I put my khakis with my top. What do you think? I also added my gray sweater since the boys have long sleeves. I'll take pictures with my outfit options soon.

I'm kind of obsessed!

I actually did something I saw on Pinterest!

I saw this on pinterest. It is from this blog.

Supplies you need for our version:

black canvas from Michaels

white paint

white ribbon

double sided tape

a black, orange, and silver sharpie

We decided to trace Chase's socked feet with a silver sharpie instead of painting his feet. Easier on his skin and for clean up. We drew eyes with the silver sharpie and then painted the ghost white. I wrote on the white ribbon with black and orange sharpie. Then we used the double sided tape to tape the ribbon to the canvas. Easy peasy!!!

My mom and I traced our feet for this one but our feet were bigger than the 9x12 canvas so we cheated a little. My foot is way bigger than my mom's. It's not to scale, oh well!

That time of year!

No not fall or halloween, the time of year when I have to go in for my lady visit. All men can probably stop reading now :) There were a few things I wanted to share about my lady visit with my other mom friends.

A couple things I was kind of wondering about before: If you are breast feeding do they still do an exam? Will I leak? The answer is yes, they do an exam and no I didn't leak. You are also supposed to be doing a monthly self exam. It is best to do it after feeding the babe.

I know some of you might be thinking about number two or not using any protection and if it happens it happens. Well, the nurse practitioner today shared this with me, she said my doctor would tell me to stop nursing if I got pregnant. She didn't say specifically why. She was of a different opinion and is pro breast feeding. She mentioned that in her opinion a tiny embryo would get enough nutrients, so maybe doctors tell you to stop breast feeding so the embryo gets all the nutrients it needs. I've seen online that some people stop because the nipple stimulation could cause a miscarriage but she didn't mention that.

The nurse also said that being pregnant does lower your milk supply. I saw online that the hormones might change the taste of the milk too. Since your baby may be more interested in solids with your lowered supply they might wean themselves.

Just wanted to share what I learned today with you ladies since I know some of us have talked about what we are doing or not doing to prevent number two.

What we've been up to

Hi everyone! Well, Chase is napping and I updated his baby book and thought, "I could write a blog!"

Here's what we've been up to since we last talked:
-Two of our best friends welcomed their baby boy Zephyr William into the world at 1:30am on October 2nd. He's tiny and sweet and sleeps all the time. Ah, newborns!

-I went to happy hour with my mom friend at Ruth Chris. If you have a Ruth Chris near you go to happy hour! $6 for a steak sandwich and fries. $6 wine $3 beer!

-A d bag set a fire in the mall where we live last year and part of the mall has been closed all year while they were fixing it. You had to walk through an airport terminal like tunnel to get from Macy's to the rest of the mall. It was stupid. The mall is fixed now and you can go from Macy's into the rest of the mall and American Eagle is back!

-Hubs and I went out for Mexican to celebrate our 2 year anniversary.

-I got a haircut. I'll post pics when I figure out how to make it look good.

What we've got coming up:
-Meeting a mom friend at the mall tomorrow. She has a 9 month old. Wonder how that will go.

-Company picnic

-My mom has a week off! I'm hoping she just wants to move in for the week and take care of Chase unless I'm feeding him and I'll make my house pin worthy.

-Hobby Lobby is opening. I can decorate for Christmas before our Halloween party right?

-One of the besties and her boy are coming up to see the newest boy (Zeph).

-We are having a kid Halloween party.

-I'm going to a jean party at one of the cool mom's houses. I'm trying to get back in the clique! I'll be posting my outfit and you all can help me!

2 year anniversary

I posted this awhile ago. It is the palm ceremony from our wedding. I love every word!

"Meagan, please hold Hubby's hands palms up, so you may see the gift that they are to you. These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and vibrant with love, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as he promises to passionately love you and cherish you through the years, for a lifetime of happiness. These are the hands that will work along side yours, as together you build your future, as you laugh and cry, as you share your innermost secrets and dreams. These are the hands you will someday place with expectant joy upon your stomach, until he too, feels his child stir within you. These are the hands that look so large and strong, yet will be so gentle as he holds your baby for the first time. These are the hands that will work long hours for you and your new family. These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes; tears of sorrow and tears of joy. These are the hands that will comfort you in illness, and hold you when fear or grief engulfs your heart. These are the hands that will tenderly lift your chin and brush your cheek as they raise your face to look into his eyes: eyes that are filled completely with his overwhelming love and desire for you.

Hubby, please hold Meagan's hands palms up, so you may see the gift that they are to you. These are the hands of your best friend, smooth, young, and carefree, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as she promises to passionately love you and cherish you through the years, for a lifetime of happiness. These are the hands that will hold each child in tender love, soothing them through illness and hurt, supporting and encouraging them along the way, knowing when it is time to let go. These are the hands that will massage tension from your neck and back in the evening after you've both had a long hard day. These are the hands that will hold you tight as you struggle through difficult times. These are the hands that will give you support as she encourages you to chase down your dreams. Together as a team, everything you wish for can be realized.

God, bless these hands that you see before you this day. May they always be held by one another. Give them strength to hold on during the storms of stress and the dark of disillusionment. Keep them tender and gentle as they nurture each other in their wondrous love. Help these hands to continue building a relationship founded in your grace, rich in caring, and devoted in reaching for your perfection. May Hubby and Meagan see their four hands as healer, protector, shelter, and guide.

Holy moly my baby is 5 months old!!!

I'm a little late with this post. For some reason the month I was so looking forward to, #4, when he was supposed to change so much, just flew by! The weird part is all the things I was looking forward to didn't really happen.

What we were up to this month:

-We surprised Grandma for her birthday! I tried so hard to find the video and then all you can do is share it on facebook. Her reaction to seeing him sitting in the bumbo was so funny!

-We hung stuff on the walls in the nursery.

-We went to 2 weddings. The picture with the horse is at a wedding. Also Chase's first time around a horse. We confirmed that Chase does not like loud noises. We also found out if he is overtired even the car can't put him to sleep.

-Chase got to see his Aunt Nickole for the 2nd time in his life.

-Chase got to watch Daddy play softball for the first time.

Chase started taking longer naps this month. Seems like whenever I have something planned he'll nap 2 or 2.5 hours. He's still waking up twice at night. He's rolled a couple times from belly to back but the way he does it he ends up bonking his head kind of hard. He needs to work on getting his head closer to the ground and turning it and letting his legs follow. He reaches for EVERYTHING now. He tries to type on the computer or play with your phone if they are in front of him. He also tries to put EVERYTHING in his mouth. He discovered how to move his fingers this month and started grabbing our faces and doing what we call "the claw".
