The end to our marriage?

Some of you might watch Tori and Dean and know that I have kind of bought into his theory that King beds are marriage enders. His theory is that Queen beds force you to cuddle.

Well, due to a hole in our air mattress we are now owners of a Cal King!

After two people slept on our air mattress and told us they had to inflate it again in the middle of the night we knew it was time. Well, I told Hubby to put the mattress in the pool so we could find the hole. I knew my in laws that stay here frequently would want to stay here even more once the baby comes and I couldn't have our guests sleeping on an air mattress.

Plus our favorite store on the planet had a great deal on beds. We bought our bed at Costco! We got a Sealy Posturpedic for about $300 or $400 less than other places. It did fall off of our friend's truck on the drive home but it is a fighter and didn't get ran over!

We went with a Cal King for various reasons. We are both tall and with this big ol belly I have right now we need room! Honestly after seeing it in our room Hubby was also right that we needed a bigger bed.

To save some cash our in laws provided us with bedding. So I would have posted a picture but I will some day when I get the master bedroom exactly the way I want it. The baby in my belly will probably be like 10 when that happens! They brought the bedding down this weekend so we just got to sleep on it for the first time last night!

I would say if you are considering a Sealy Posturpedic and personally I think you should be while Costco has them! It is a deal! It might be more firm than some people would like. It will probably get softer so starting firm is a good thing, we think. It is also perfect for me sleeping on my side with a big belly. I was so comfortable last night! Hubby likes the bed too. I think you might even be able to get up without disturbing the other person which would be awesome if I could feed the babe without waking Hubs up.

I thought it was cute that Hubby and I were pretty much as close as we normally are in the Queen. Because I have to sleep with a pillow between my legs to avoid leg cramps, cuddling isn't really possible. We fall asleep holding hands. Aww aren't we cute! So hopefully Dean is wrong and we will be cute and holding hands forever. I've also heard some people say having a King is good when you have kids. Let me just put this on the Internet now, I'm not letting the kids sleep with us. I am looking forward to the little one waking us up on weekend mornings by jumping in the bed with us. I feel like such a grown up now that we have a big bed!

Tootsee Roll

I heard this song on the radio today when I was driving home.

I was thinking it would be so fun to dance around with Little Man to this song. I guess it's my version of Ross singing "Baby got back" to Emma.

Can't you just see us dancing to this song at his wedding?! Love it!

Baby shower outfit help!

Ok, I need some help picking out what to wear for my baby shower in a couple weeks. I think it might be raining so I wanted to go with a dress but add a cardigan, tights, and boots. I also have a white cami on to be a little more modest. If we pick an outfit I can take pics with camis and without.

Please excuse stuff on the ground and all around xoxo.

Option 1- Imagine black tights with this outfit. Tights are not so fun to put on when preggo. I'm not so sure about these boots. I think Hubby called me a pirate hooker when I put them on.

Option 2

Option 3

Option 4

Well what do you think?

OT

Have you seen what is going on with the original Teen Moms? I saw this picture on the cover of in touch. I guess Farrah AND Maci got implants. The mag says Amber's most recent ex, some guy named Clinton claims she is addicted to pills.

While researching this post I found out Kailyn from Teen Mom 2 and her son were in a car accident. No one was hurt she ran into the back of someone.

Love Story

I loved reading all your posts about your love stories and I was thinking, "Have I posted about Hubby and I's love story?" I remembered that I had! I posted a few posts starting in December 2009 until January 30th 2009 that were titled six years ago today. I just went back and labeled them love story too so you can go to my labels on the right side and read click on love story. There are only 4 of them so you have to scroll down a ways. Let me know if you read them!

2 short years

Last year I told our proposal story. I read the story again today and even though its pretty funny I love every minute of it! If you haven't read it or can't remember go read it! I mentioned that we had a picture on our phones that we sent to our parents and that we needed to get the picture off our phones. Well thanks to the invention of the iphone we texted the pic to his brother and he emailed us the pic. The pic is above!!

Now just 2 short years later we are married, bought a house, and are going to be parents in about 10 weeks!
It is amazing how our relationship changed that day he FINALLY asked me to be his wife. I have loved every minute of our lives together and don't think I could be any happier today.
Happy Valentines Day to the best Hubby in the world! Also Happy Valentine's Day to the Little Man in my belly and the fur baby and all of you!!!

Valentine's Day

My husband likes to recycle. I jokingly try to convince him he needs to get me some diamonds for having his baby. He tells me that some of the small ones in my engagement ring or wedding band count.

I have been avoiding discussing Valentine's Day with him because I fear it will lead to more sugary sweets in our house and I have gained 6.5 lbs in 2 weeks and there are more brownie bites and cupcakes to be eaten.

Last night he said, "So Olive Garden is going to be our Valentine's Day dinner?" I think we have like $95 in gift cards to Olive Garden. People know we love the Garden. I told him that I really don't care about Valentine's Day this year. We have been so lazy with the holidays lately but buying a house, moving, and making a person takes it out of you. Plus our birthdays and Christmas and Valentine's Day are so close together we get tired of buying each other stuff. Hubby was so sweet and after his 10 hour work day on my birthday stopped and got me flowers. The flowers are still looking good so he recycled and said the roses in the boquet were for Valentine's Day which I am totally ok with.

So do you feel bad for me now? Have I depressed you? This is what happens after being married for a year and are pregnant. You stop buying each other presents.

We are friends with a couple that has rules about looking good for each other and they eluded to something about not going to the bathroom in front of each other or something. She jokingly said something about being a stay at home mom and said, "I promise I won't get fat." Uh, I'm sorry but I like knowing if I get fat my husband will still love me. I want to get back to pre baby weight after the baby comes for myself and for him but he doesn't care. I wonder if they are going to get botox and facelifts too. "I promise I won't get wrinkles." Ugh! Gag me!

Are you camera savvy?

So Hubby and I get to pick out a gift from a website but we are having trouble picking one.

I think we are leaning toward the camera right now since our other camera seems to be about to die. Currently we have a Canon Powershot A520 4MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Zoom. The camera we could get is a Fujifilm FinePix AX200 12 MP Digital Camera with 5x Wide Angle Optical Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD.

Here are the technical details of the canon:
4.0-megapixel CCD captures enough detail for photo-quality 11 x 15-inch prints
4x optical zoom, 9-point AiAF, 13 shooting modes
Large 1.8-inch display; D!GIC Image Processor for faster speed and vibrant colors

These are the technical details of the fuji:
12-megapixel resolution for large, photo-quality prints
Fujinon 5x wide-angle optical zoom lens
Capture 720p HD movies with sound and still shots in 16:9 that can be played back on any HD-ready television (or a home PC)
Panoramic Shooting mode; Picture Search
Display Size: 2.7 inches

I don't know much about cameras but 12 megapixels instead of 4 sounds better to me and the fuji has a bigger display too.

What do you camera savvy people think? Should we get a new camera? The other options are an Emeril knife set, a portable dvd player, watches, I think a purse, a gps, and some other crap I can't remember.

Thoughtless Thursday

I finally got caught up on One Tree Hill yesterday. How much did you love Brooke's hair?! I love that sparkle headband. I almost want to see if I got married again I would wear my hair like that but it wouldn't look good at all so I won't say it. Can they for real get married now? K, thanks!

Bananas in pajamas!

The other day I was in a classroom after school while some teachers were having a meeting. It was obviously an important meeting because they were discussing sushi restaurants and vacations. But they mentioned something I had never thought about or discussed with anyone else before and I thought, I'm going to have to blog about this.
How often do you change your pajamas?
The teachers were talking about packing for their vacation and how they wear different pajamas every night. One mentioned that her cousin wears the same pajamas all week and thinks she is weird for changing her pajamas every night. So I have to ask, what do you guys do?

It's my birthday and I'll do what I want to!

That's right people it is my birthday! I took today off work because I didn't want to hang out with kids that didn't know me and didn't care if it was my birthday and would probably be buttheads. That's the life of a substitute teacher!

Instead I slept in, watched a little Bachelor, went to lunch with my mom, and went shopping. Perfect day!

Last weekend my in laws were in town helping us with our house again. They are amazing. They wanted to go out to dinner for my bday with my parents and some other family friends. We went to Il Fornaio and had a wonderful time. I liked getting sung to in Italian! Oh and the free dessert!

I'm sure you guys enjoy sneak peeks of the house and I guess this is technically my birthday present so I'll show you what the Hubby got me for my birthday...

A dishwasher! I know! So romantic! Hey, I think it might be one of the most expensive bday presents he's gotten me so I'm not complaining!

I think it is part of getting older that you appreciate the little things. To me a day off of work and housework and something new for our house is all I need.
