If...

  • If you ask me if I need help I will tell you no.

  • If you are getting Starbucks or food and ask me if I want any I will tell you no even if I do.

  • If you mess up my food order I won't tell you.

  • If I have a question in a store I won't ask an employee.

  • If my son is sick and you give me a breathing machine to take home I won't ask if it's for keep or rent. It's for keep in case you were wondering.

Maybe I'm shy or not assertive enough, I don't know. Now that I'm a mom I think I'm learning how to speak up a little bit more.

  1. I'm the same way, but I do have to say that motherhood has definitely changed this for me. Now I don't even worry about speaking up!

  2. I don't mind asking for help when I need it but alot of times I'm like that and don't want to bother anybody.

  3. I make my husband do a lot of it, especially at stores and restaurants. If a really close friend offers me Starbucks or food I will say yes, but there's very few people I'd say yes to. I refuse help unless it's from my mom or husband. I've been speaking up on behalf of my son, but I'm pretty shy and find it hard to speak up. I've come a long way, yet I still don't so it much hahaha

  5. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing. I do it too, I feel like I'm "burdening" someone.. does that make sense?

  6. I don't like coming off as rude, so sometimes I keep quiet, too.
